Meridian Atelier Hotel is a 5-star luxury property in Marina Bay with a contemporary cocktail bar that caters to hotel guests, corporate clients and an upscale local crowd. The venue focuses on innovative cocktails that blend classic technique with Asian-inspired flavours and premium spirits.

The Mixologist will take ownership of the bar's beverage identity: creating seasonal menus, training the bar team on service standards, and delivering consistent, high-quality drinks during regular service and private events. This role suits a creative bartender who thrives in a high-volume, premium hotel environment and who can balance craft with commercial awareness.

You will work closely with the Food & Beverage leadership, banqueting and culinary teams to develop drinks that complement the hotel's dining concepts, run masterclasses and assist with pop-ups. The position offers professional development, opportunities to represent the hotel in competitions and clear progression into senior beverage management roles within the group.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, test and implement seasonal cocktail menus and signature drinks aligned with the hotel's concept
  • Lead bar service during evening shifts, ensuring consistent quality, speed and presentation
  • Train and mentor junior bartenders and bar attendants on recipes, service standards and upselling
  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, stock rotation and minimise wastage
  • Set up and maintain bar stations, ensure mise-en-place and equipment readiness for service
  • Work with culinary and events teams to develop paired menus and bespoke cocktails for functions
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and liquor licensing requirements
  • Handle guest enquiries and feedback with professionalism and maintain high guest satisfaction
  • Reconcile takings and operate the POS according to hotel cash-handling procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a bartender/mixologist in upscale bars or luxury hotels
  • Proven track record designing cocktail menus and executing high-volume service
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wine and beer, and classic/modern cocktail techniques
  • Excellent guest-facing skills, confident in storytelling and upselling premium beverages
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to train junior staff
  • Eligible to work in Singapore (citizen, PR or valid work pass)
  • Familiarity with Singapore liquor regulations and hotel POS systems

Work schedule

Typical week: 5.5 days per week, including weekends and public holidays on rotation.

  • Evening / late-night shifts (typically 16:00–01:00)
  • Split shifts on select days for functions (e.g., 11:00–15:00 & 17:00–23:00)
  • Rotational roster with occasional day events and private bookings
