Logistics Coordinator (Central Kitchen)
About the role
The InHouse Chef operates a high-volume central kitchen supplying cafés, hawker-style concepts and corporate catering across Singapore. Our Jurong facility handles chilled, frozen and fresh production runs that serve a mix of CBD lunchtime outlets, heartland kopitiam partners and event catering clients.
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning delivery routes, coordinating drivers and third-party couriers, maintaining temperature-controlled transport standards and ensuring timely outbound fulfilment. You will work closely with production, inventory and accounts teams to reconcile orders, manage claims and support continuous improvement of delivery performance.
This role suits a hands-on operations professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, has solid spreadsheets and systems skills, and understands basic food-safety and cold-chain requirements. We offer on-the-job training, exposure to multiple F&B formats and clear progression into logistics supervision or operations management.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and assign delivery routes daily to ensure timely fulfilment across outlets and catering orders.
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers / third-party couriers; monitor ETAs and resolve delays in real time.
- Ensure cold-chain compliance during loading, transit and handover; record temperature logs and take corrective actions.
- Manage outbound documentation: delivery orders, packing lists, invoices and PODs (proof of delivery).
- Reconcile orders and stock movements with inventory/WMS; investigate and report discrepancies or damages.
- Liaise with procurement and suppliers for inbound scheduling and receiving exceptions.
- Maintain vendor and transport contracts, track KPIs such as on-time delivery and damage rates.
- Assist with transport cost control, route optimisation and ad-hoc reporting for management.
- Support incident reporting, claims processing and follow-up with customers for service recovery.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, dispatch or central kitchen operations (F&B preferred).
- Solid MS Excel skills and ability to use delivery/WMS/ERP systems (experience with WMS or SAP an advantage).
- Good understanding of cold-chain principles and basic food-safety requirements (HACCP awareness).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple orders during peak service windows.
- Clear communicator in English; Mandarin or Malay is a plus for liaising with drivers and suppliers.
- Ability to work early starts and occasional late / weekend shifts; flexible with peak catering periods.
- Legally eligible to work in Singapore.

Work schedule
Typical week: 5.5 days per week, including weekends on rotation; peak demands during weekday lunch and weekend catering.
- Early shift (05:00–14:00) for production and morning dispatches.
- Day shift (08:00–17:00) for route planning and office coordination.
- Occasional split or late shifts during special events and large catering jobs.
