Hawker Stall Assistant
About the role
Heartland Hawker Co. operates a popular kopitiam stall in Tiong Bahru known for kopitiam-style breakfast and hearty zi char dishes during dinner. We serve a mix of residents, office workers and the weekend brunch crowd, and maintain a steady stream of regular customers.
The Hawker Stall Assistant will work alongside a small team to prepare ingredients, plate orders, handle cashless payments and ensure the stall is kept clean and compliant with NEA hygiene standards. This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who likes a practical, fast-moving work environment and wants to learn core hawker skills — from basic wok handling to portioning and simple front-of-house service.
This role offers stable daytime and evening shifts with opportunities to pick up new cooking techniques, cross-train across different station tasks and progress to a cook or shift lead role for reliable performers. We value punctuality, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn in a busy heartland setting.
