About the role
Join a busy full-service city hotel serving daily breakfast crowds, corporate lunches and frequent banquet events. You will be part of the stewarding team responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary dishware, kitchen utensils and back-of-house areas to support smooth F&B service across multiple outlets.
The role suits candidates who are physically fit, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment with rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. The hotel offers stable rostered hours, training on industrial dishwashing equipment and clear paths for progression into senior steward or steward supervisor roles.
You will work closely with kitchen chefs, banquet coordinators and housekeeping to ensure timely turnaround of crockery and cutlery for restaurant services and events. Attention to detail, reliable attendance and strong teamwork are essential to maintain service continuity and guest satisfaction.

Azure Bay Hotel is a 220-room full-service hotel in Marina Bay, catering to business travellers and events. Our property has two all-day dining restaurants, a rooftop bar and flexible banquet space for weddings and corporate functions. Key responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and ensure proper loading/unloading procedures
- Perform manual washing and scrubbing of large pots, pans and delicate items not suitable for the machine
- Sort, stack and store clean crockery, cutlery and glassware according to kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the stewarding area, including sinks, drain traps, floors and work surfaces
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, following SDS and hotel procedures
- Assist with setup and teardown of banquet and event crockery and serviceware
- Report damaged or missing items and coordinate with Steward Supervisor for replacements
- Segregate waste and recyclables, and follow proper disposal routines
- Assist with basic inventory checks for stewarding consumables (detergents, gloves, cloths)
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Singapore (Singapore citizen, PR or valid work pass)
- Minimum 0–1 year experience in stewarding, dishwashing or kitchen porter role preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 25 kg repeatedly during a shift
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Basic conversational English to follow instructions and communicate with supervisors
- Punctual, reliable and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel kitchen
- Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and PPE usage

Work schedule
Typical week: 5.5 days per week with rostered weekends and public holidays on rotation.
- Morning shift: 06:00–14:30 (covers breakfast & lunch prep/cleanup)
- Afternoon shift: 11:00–19:30 (lunch through early dinner service)
- Evening / Banquet shift: 15:00–23:30 (covers banquet and late dinner breakdowns)
