About the role

The InHouse Chef Catering is a growing catering and events arm servicing corporate clients, weddings and private functions across Singapore. Based from our central kitchen in Kallang, we provide buffet and plated catering, cocktail receptions and turnkey event support to clients in the CBD, heartland malls and hotel partners.

As Catering Operations Executive you'll be the operational lead between sales, kitchen and on-site teams. Core responsibilities include planning production schedules, coordinating deliveries and set-ups, enforcing food safety standards and troubleshooting on event days. You will liaise with vendors and client contacts to ensure menus are produced on time and to specification.

This role suits an organised, hands-on operator with experience in F&B or catering logistics. It offers exposure to a wide range of events, opportunities to develop operational systems and career progression into senior operations or account management roles as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan daily production schedules and forward orders based on bookings and pick-up times
  • Coordinate delivery logistics: allocate drivers, vehicles and route planning for timely arrivals
  • Supervise kitchen packing, portion control and QA checks before dispatch
  • Manage on-site set-up teams and troubleshoot service issues during events
  • Liaise with sales and clients to confirm event specifications, dietary requirements and timelines
  • Maintain inventory levels: monitor chiller stocks, dry goods and reorder with approved suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate cleaning, temperature and HACCP logs
  • Prepare simple cost reports, delivery notes, and assist with invoicing or follow-up on client discrepancies

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in catering operations, central kitchen or F&B logistics
  • Practical knowledge of food safety standards and experience maintaining HACCP/temperature logs
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Comfortable working hands-on during busy service days and at off-site venues (weekends included)
  • Proficient with basic office software (Excel, email) and experience using order or delivery apps
  • Clear communicator with client-facing skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Singapore citizen / PR or valid work pass to work in Singapore

Work schedule

Typical week: 5.5 days per week; includes weekends and public holidays on a rota for event coverage.

  • Standard weekday office/kitchen hours (08:00–17:00) for production and planning
  • Event-day shifts: early starts (04:30–12:30) or late finishes (14:00–22:00) depending on booking
  • Split shifts on days with both delivery and evening set-up commitments
