Cake Decorator
About the role
Dough & Bloom Patisserie is a neighbourhood bakery and bespoke cake studio in Katong known for contemporary celebration cakes, western-style pastries and steady weekend retail trade. We serve a mix of local families, couples ordering wedding and birthday cakes, and a regular lunch/afternoon crowd seeking pastries and slices.
As our Cake Decorator you will be responsible for finishing celebration cakes and styling retail display items to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with the pastry chef and front-of-house to manage custom orders, meet deadlines and maintain strict hygiene and packaging standards. The shop operates a busy weekend rhythm and receives a steady flow of pre-orders, so the ability to work efficiently without compromising detail is essential.
This position is ideal for decorators who want hands-on creative work with opportunities to develop sugar-art skills, design seasonal collections and take on larger bespoke commissions. We offer a supportive small-team environment with training, access to industry tools and clear pathways to more senior pastry roles as the business grows.
