About the role

The InHouse Chef Pte Ltd is a fast-growing corporate catering and F&B group servicing Singapore’s CBD, financial services, tech firms and events sector. We provide curated corporate buffets, bento and cocktail canapés for meetings, seminars, and large-scale conferences with an emphasis on reliable delivery, consistent food quality and professional event execution.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting new corporate clients, managing an assigned portfolio of accounts, preparing proposals and commercial quotes, and coordinating with internal operations to ensure flawless delivery. This role suits a sales-focused individual with a solid network in the corporate, MICE or hospitality space and hands-on experience selling catering solutions to companies, agencies and event organisers.

You’ll work in a hybrid arrangement from our central office in the CBD and spend significant time meeting clients, attending site visits and supporting event execution during peak periods. The role offers a base salary plus uncapped commission, clear KPIs and opportunity to grow into senior sales or regional account leadership as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new corporate accounts, event agencies and institutional clients in Singapore
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring retention and repeat business
  • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and tailored menu packages based on client needs
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and report pipeline activity using CRM
  • Coordinate with operations and kitchen teams on order specifications, delivery logistics and event staffing
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with client facilities teams for set-up and on-day requirements
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, deposits and service-level agreements
  • Support marketing initiatives, tastings and corporate hospitality activations when required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ B2B sales experience in corporate catering, F&B sales, hospitality or events
  • Proven track record meeting sales targets in the corporate or MICE segment
  • Strong network or contacts within CBD corporates, event agencies or office managers
  • Good commercial acumen with experience preparing proposals and negotiating contracts
  • Comfortable with frequent client meetings, island-wide site visits and occasional evening or weekend events
  • Proficient in English with strong written and presentation skills; Mandarin is an advantage
  • Eligible to work in Singapore (Singapore Citizen, PR or valid work pass)

Work schedule

Typical week: 5.5 days per week; core office hours with flexibility for client meetings and event support on evenings and weekends.

  • Typical office hours: Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 (flexible start/finish depending on client meetings)
  • Event support shifts: evenings and weekends on rotation during large conferences and functions
  • Frequent daytime site visits across the island; occasional early starts for morning deliveries
